Fil Serramenti headquarters in Quinto di Treviso: corten and steel façade on the lawn

Fil Serramenti was founded in 1972 in Quinto di Treviso and is now run by the third generation of the same family. More than fifty years of work in fine building have earned us recognised expertise, but our passion for quality comes from something simpler: a different way of looking at the world.

Our philosophy embraces the entire production cycle, to offer a product of the highest quality, made with respect for the nature around us and for the countries our raw materials come from. Every step is entrusted to the hands and eye of a craftsman, so that every detail receives the attention it deserves.

Our passion for this work drives continuous investment in technology, to refine every stage of production and make the best use of raw materials, because nature is a value worth defending. The result is an exclusive range of bespoke windows in wood, wood and iron, wood and aluminium, wood and bronze.

Wood, a living material

It has breathed, it has grown, it remembers every season

Of all building materials, wood is the only one that has had a life of its own. It has breathed, it has grown for decades, it has recorded every season in its grain. When it becomes a window, it does not stop being what it was. It keeps moving imperceptibly, changing tone in the light, taking on the warmth of the hand that touches it. Even set into a wall, it keeps a bond with the nature it comes from.

It is this origin that makes it noble. No other material brings the same depth into a home, or gives elegance and structure at the same time. Wood defines the character of a room even before the furniture does, because the window is where architecture meets light.

Its strength also lies in how well it pairs with other materials. Depending on the project, aluminium protects its exposed surface, iron strengthens its lines, bronze brings out its warm tones. In every pairing, wood remains the protagonist and sets the measure for the other material.

The pairings

Wood always takes the lead and sets the measure

The leadWood

Larch, oak, fir, teak: woods chosen for the house and the place, worked so that the grain stays legible to the eye and to the touch.

Strengthens its linesWood and iron

The iron frame encloses the wood and sets it apart from the stone: structure, character, presence.

Protects its surfaceWood and aluminium

Wood on the inside keeps the warmth of home; aluminium on the outside provides protection, stability and low maintenance.

Brings out its warm tonesWood and bronze

Brass and bronze for handles, pull handles and profiles: functional details designed to measure that become a signature.
